Richard Simcott, me, and Dragoș Luca at the Polyglot Gathering in Berlin 2016!
Having conversations is my side-profession. It’s one of the best ways people know they are loved and the easiest way I can show it. I know a lot of people find difficulty in this subject and sometimes run out of things to say. This is why I’ve decided to have a guest of some sort on the blog at least once a month. I want to let the conversations flow. Maybe you’ve noticed?
I met today’s guest back in Berlin and have stayed in contact ever since. He had to write a paper for school and decided to choose “The World of Polyglots” as his subject. It’s shorter than my upcoming eBook…
Many of you may still be wondering what a Polyglot is. Let’s simply define it as a language freak. To do his work, he interviewed a few famous people in Polyglottery and then interviewed me because of my interesting take on language learning. If you’re at all interested in some good reading, or want a new hobby I recommend giving this compilation of ideas a go. Now to Dragoș!

The World of Polyglots
Hi everybody! My name is Dragoș Luca and I’m a language freak. For real. I really love languages and this love started to grow 3 years ago when I saw Tim Doner’s video where he speaks 20 languages.
That really motivated me to learn new languages. Since then, I learned 2 more languages and I’m planning on learning many more. The main thing I like about languages, is the power of communicating with so many people from different cultures and breaking the ice with even just one word. This is also what my paper is about: why should we care about languages, how can we learn them and what can we expect from this effort.
We would both love to hear your thoughts on this crazy hobby we do. Be sure to follow him at Alaric Polyglot on YouTube. His instagram handle is: alaric_polyglot and don’t forget to comment
